ANGIE'S NEW BEGINNINGS

by ANGIE
(LOUISIANA)

I HAD MY LAP BAND SURGERY ALMOST 3 YEARS AGO AND I'VE LOST 110 POUNDS. HOWEVER, IN THE LAST 4 MONTHS I'VE NOT LOST ANYTHING, IN FACT I'VE GONE UP AND DOWN 5 POUNDS. I'VE GOTTEN OFF THE WAGON SO TO SPEAK AND HAVE BEEN JUST GIVING IN TO EMOTIONAL EATING. I'M TRYING TO CORRECT THAT AND GET BACK ON TRACK.

IT'S VERY HARD TO CONQUER THE MENTAL OBSESSING WITH FOOD AT TIMES, BUT I'VE DONE WELL SO FAR AND I WANT TO CONTINUE. I HAVE ABOUT 80 POUNDS I NEED TO LOSE....I HOPE THAT I SUCCEED.

Angie,
I can't tell how old your blog comment was... maybe you have worked it all out and are now back on track.

If not... try making a big pot of chicken soup... fill it with carrots, onions, celery... and whole chicken, and some salt free Herb-ox chicken bouillion.

Let it cook for a couple of hours... get all the skin out.. let it cool and skim off the solidified fat and you will have a snack meal your can eat all week with very little calories in it and as tasty as you wish to make it.

Let me know how you are doing!
take care.

I haven't had the surgery yet, but we all know what it feels like to fall off the Wagon, whether it be food, drugs, whatever the vice. God is there to help you. Pray to Him to help you not be tempted to eat the "bad stuff". Have faith in Him and he can get you back on the right path and before you know it, you will have reached your goal! Praise God you have gotten this far! Good job! Be proud in your success and don't dwell on the negative. You will get there!

Angie,

I am sure this battle hasn't been an easy one as it has not been for me either, but you did this for a reason in the beginning...try to remember that reason and get back on that wagon.

We all trip up along the way. The difficulty is not letting a small trip up sabotage what our goals are.

Good luck to you! You can do it!
Liz
