Foods to Eat After
Gastric Sleeve Surgery

Can I puree pasta when I am in the pureed phase of gastric sleeve eating?

The gastric sleeve diet guidelines are the same as the gastric band diet guidelines.

The purpose of pureed food phase is:

  • To continue to provide fluid and protein

  • To continue to allow your stomach to heal

  • To introduce a wider variety of foods

Foods eaten in the pureed stage should be consistency of mashed potatoes, cottage cheese, and scrambled eggs. That being said...

...if you like the way pureed pasta tastes, choose a whole wheat pasta and go for it!
