Getting Nervous

Okay so I just found this website just today (October 15, 2010) and my surgery is scheduled for 3 day from now on October 18th!!!

Even though the doctor told me high protein, zero starch diet for the last few weeks before surgery...I haven't exactly been following his instruction to a "t" and now I"m wondering what the heck I've been thinking! He's the expert!

I haven't been overeating but I haven't been eating a pre-bariatric surgery diet. I'm somewhat of a procrastinator and hadn't really researched the pre-op diet fully but was no time to be putting things off.

In my defense I have been really busy with some major personal issues...one being divorce and paying overdue bills, dealing with nasty creditors, renting out 4 rooms in my home (praying I can save my home) and keeping the household running! So in my defense I do have a lot on my plate....no pun intended. hahahaha

I just pray now that I haven't set myself up for a difficult recovery...I promise to be good the next three days except I am going to have some of this delicious "pozole" my co-worker brought me today...it's my favorite!! What can I say??

I have a love affair with food but we haven't been as close as I was at 265 lbs. in 2003-2004. Okay just so you know I'm 230 lbs now and I went down to 180 lbs at one point but bounced back up! The story of my life....so here goes...one more attempt in the battle of the bulge...I hope to beat it this time!
