Pain in left mid back under shoulder blade

by Jennifer
(Roanoke, TX)

19 days after lap band surgery and I started on pureed foods yesterday. After eating lunch today, I feel musculoskeletal type pain in left mid back under shoulder blade particularly when breathing in. It happened yesterday and I thought that I may have slept on it wrong. Then it happened again today. Any ideas?

If the pain occurs after you eat it may simply be related to the new feeling of food in the pouch. Be sure to stick with 4-6 ounce portions and chew your food thoroughly.

Of course, if the pain persists or gets worse, call your surgeon ASAP!

Trapped Gas

I had that pain after surgery and was told it was gas from the anesthesia trapped in there causing the discomfort.
