Pre Surgery Lap Band Diet
Before Surgery:
What happens if you eat food two weeks before your lap band surgery? Will it cause complications with the surgery?
The purpose of the pre-surgery diet is to shrink the liver (which is behind the stomach) so that the surgeon can easily get the gastric band around the stomach.

here.
While there is no "official" pre-surgery diet, many surgeons will have you follow a low calorie, high protein diet 2 weeks prior to surgery.
Sometimes this is accomplished though meal replacement shakes
only, and sometimes it's accomplished through a
combination of meal replacement shakes and "real" food.
