"The Process"

My name is Shauna, and I am 21. I just had the lap band surgery on July 12, 2010. This day marks the first day of the rest of my life.

I have always been the "thick" girl but Aug 2009 I moved out from my parents house for my last 2 years of college and gained 80 pounds and went from a size 14 to a size 22!!!

I never thought anything of it until I saw pictures of myself and it was like WHOA tubby in the house!!

The college I attend is home to many metro Atlanta upper class students and the girls are so pretty. I feel because of my weight I am missing out on many of the college events because of my weight. BUT NO MORE!!

Tubby is going out the window and Shauna is coming out!! I hope that people will help and support me in what I am calling the process. This process will not be fun and it will not be simple. Although I wouldn't want it any other way.

I truly love myself I only hope this will lead other people to love me for me and allow me to be free from food.

Today is 6 since the big day. I am not a big fan of this liquid diet and I HATE these power shakes. On day 8 I get to start with veggies and soft fruit and fish. I am really not a big fan of fish either so I hope this site will help me with some good recipes
