Two Week Liquid Diet before LapBand Surgery

What happens if you don't stick to just liquids during the two week liquid diet before your surgery?

The purpose of the low calorie, high protein pre-surgery diet is to shrink your liver.

Often surgeons prescribe an all-liquid diet pre surgery in order to take the guesswork out of what to eat.

If you get sick of liquids and find yourself nibbling on a few solid "real" foods, nothing bad will happen. However, you should make sure whatever "real" food you're eating is low in calories!

Avoid "the last supper" mentality and binge eating on high fat, high calorie foods pre surgery!

I didn't know
by: Lizm

I was not told about this until 5 days prior to surgery and they told me "it should be fine" and made out like it was no big deal.

I wish I has known this because I have a larger scar because they had to move things around. This is a very important lesson to follow. Learn from my mistake.
