Calories after the Lapband

I had the Lapband done on 3-11-09. How many calories should I be consuming a day?

The number of daily calories you require is dependent on your gender, height, weight, body composition, and activity level.

I'd suggest consuming no fewer than 1200 calories/day in order to prevent "starvation mode" and to assure you get all the nutrients you need.

The gastric band food pyramid will give you a better idea of the portions and the balance of food groups you should be eating every day.

Generally speaking, you probably can't go wrong with 1200-1600 calories/day!
